Nolan's 1st Christmas. 10 months old!

Too cute and good not to post. This is what my daughter drew and painted for Nolan's new room. Great job Michelle!

Went stamping on Wednesday. Sure had a very enjoyable time. Was good to see everyone again. I have cards I need to post, but my husband took the camera today! Will get them up soon!

Where did September go?

Wow, just noticed last post was in August. I do have a good reason (did you notice I did not say excuse)?

Our daughter ended up in the emergency room on the 7th of September and had surgery that same day. She had what they called colon volvus, in laymen's terms: a twisted colon. Removed 18" of colon, and 2" of intestine. To say the least, was a tad scary.

While recovering, they all stayed here. 7 month old grandbaby Nolan kept this grandma pretty busy for 3+ weeks. My creativity was to keep him occupied and out of trouble til his Dad got home from work. She still has to take it easy, but is recovering well.

I have had a little time to play, and trying to get my mojo back. Seems like this card took me forever. This is for my Dad's B'day next month.

Going stampin' with the gals tomorrow. I sure have missed them.

Peek a Boo !

Nolan and mama came for a visit last week. He actually just started to crawl, and is getting that down pretty well. As you can tell, he is pulling himself up now and trying to stand. Still wobblie, but he is trying~ He makes me smile !

Explosion Box

I was inspired by Lois with the Halloween explosion box that she had made.

I decided that I would make one with a cake inside for my Grandmother whom turned 97 this month.

I wrote the poem inside that reads:

We wish we could have make a cake

and handed it to you.

But since we live so darn far apart,

this will have to do !

We hope your Birthday is a special one

that you're so deserving of,

and know the ingredients in this cake

was made with Lots of Love.

My space ! I'm not addicted am I?

This is what I have been working on lately. Organizing my space ! Decided I best take a picture or 2, while it was still organized. Oops, I see I forgot to empty the trash !

Unfortunately, it does not look like this now, for have been working on a couple of projects. I have a baby shower to go to, so have been working on a few baby items. Will try and remember to take pics, and post.

Nolan surprises his Mom when she went into his room! He appears to be pretty darn proud of himself, which he should be.
This little guy has brought back many a fond memory of our 2 kids when they were little.

Birthday Cards

For whatever reason, I enjoy making these buckle cards. Most that I have made have turned out to be more on the masculine side, so I thought I would see what I could do to make it more feminine. I really like how this turned out. Lois brought a card like this for us all to make quite some time ago, so I thought I would do one one my own. Thanks Lois for the inspiration!

Ok, so I have to confess, I have toyed with even posting this card that I made. But then again, I thought, what the heck. We all have to start somewhere right? And I am "havin' fun trying"! :)

I got the inspiration from Jenn on her postings (Thank You Jenn!) from her Wow-em class that she had. www.just4funcrafts.blotspot.com. She is such an artist, and you can also purchase "all sorts of goodies" (www.just4funcrafts.com) from her. If it is not listed on her site, e-mail her or call her about it. If I was a bettin' person, I would bet on her finding it for you!


Overall, I am happy with the way this card turned out, but...this card is missing something, or alot of somethings. I can't picture what, thats part of being a ga-newbee! (Seems lop sided to me). Anyway, Thanks Jenn, for posting your creations, and sharing with us (cyberspace) all of your wonderful art.

Had a little time to play yesterday. I created this house card with a realtor in mind.
This is the 1st one I have made, so.... a lot of things I could/should have done different.The next, will have some changes on it. But hey, I don't think it turn out to bad for my 1st try. (Havin' fun trying!) The pattern of the house was my own creation. Believe it or not!!

I picked up a free patten for these butterflies on a site that I ran across. I can not recall which site it was. To much surfing to remember. Sorry.

I got my inspiration on the fan cards from Sam a couple of weeks ago at our stamping get together. This card does not go in an envelope, so I created a box for it to fit in.

Todays card

Made this "Have a great day" card today. All the paper & scalloped punch is SU. Flower soft and brads, I got from Just4funcrafts. I put stickles, which I got from TAC on the flower soft.
I made the leaves and stem.

Sympathy Card

On March 28th, I received notice of the passing of a gentleman from my home town in Nebraska, whom along with his family has a special place in my heart. One of the most kind and intelligent people I have ever known. A man that accomplished tremendous things, and never once thought he was better than anyone else.

I am so glad I was able to see and chat with him on one of our trips back home last year.

No more suffering, No more pain.

Not uploading every page today. Will do that another day. These are the pages I did.

Stampers Delight

At one of our stamping get togethers, we all decided that we would make a recipe book.
We all brought our pages and put the book together last Wednesday.

Its called Stampers Delight.

We each created a page for the index, and then also a page (some with 2 or more pages)with the recipe's on them.

I have to tell ya, this was quite a challenge for me, and put me way out of my comfort zone. I am happy though with what I came up with. Challenge is good for you, right?

I sure appreciate them all letting me be a part of their Wednesday Stamping. They are all so creative and talented, in addition to kind and caring individuals.

They are a Delight to Stamp with, and like the recipe clip says "With coffee, chocolates, and girlfriends, who needs therapy".

Friend rose card

The rose is a pattern that I got off a free pattern website. I'm sorry, but I cannot remember the website. My computer crashed on me, so I lost alot of info. The leaves are a punch from Tuesday Mornings. Stamp is from Michaels $ stamps. Paper is SU.

Sympathy Card

I made this card for my best friend Carole and her family. Her husbands mother past away this past Thurday.
Card stock, punches, gel pin and stamps (Touch of Nature) are all SU. The sentiment is computer generated. Tree and butterfly are embossed in black. Which is why the picture looks a little blurry. The light was shinning on it just right. I'm sure thats why, cause it couldn't be my photography skills !! :)

Buckle Birthday Card

This card is made with SU paper and inks. The horses are from stamp set from TAC. I believe the stamp set is called Happy Trails. The happy birthday is from clear dollar stamps.

Happy "Bee"-day

Lois gave us these cute little bee's and wanted us to make a card with them. This is what I came up with. All items on this card is SU. I'm not sure where the bees came from.
